*The only one with no votes in the Best Album category. No shit Sherlock.

Ah, art imitates life in the "shitfest". Just as in the Scottish elections we've had a lot of spoilt papers. Sorry folks but "Anything by Wet Wet Wet" (for example) or "that first album by Wet Wet Wet" (for example) is an invalid vote. Incidentally, I worked at the election count in 2003 and someone had spoiled their paper by writing Elvis at the bottom and putting a cross next to it. There was another spoiled paper which was a better story but it's rude and this is a family website. The family in question is probably the Manson family but you get the picture.

Anyway, where was I? Oh aye, Texas sneak it by a baw hair and a technicality. You're very nice to The Cat (this week of his midlife crisis) and have voted Sheena Easton's affront to the Trade Descriptions Act for Music even higher. Whatever did Prince see in her? He'd been better off with The Cat. They could have had a pint of Best and talked about The Popguns. Prince could've even joined our quiz team. We could have played footy with him. Anything to stop him sullying his artistic cannon (no laughing at the back) with Sheena Bloody Easton.

Oh, and respect to Liz Nurse whose comment about Sandi Thom ("I wish I were a punk rocker; I'd smash her face in") sums up Sandi nicely. Nice touch Liz: angry but true.

Come on Prince - get the beers in, it's Science and Nature next!
